The Minor in Hospitality Security and Risk Management helps students develop their abilities and increase their knowledge applicable to security. A total of 17 credits are needed to finish the minor. The University of Wisconsin Stout is a public institution of higher learning residing in Menomonie, Wisconsin. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System. It was established in 1891 by James Huff Stout as Stout Manual Training School. It became The Stout Institute in 1908. In 1911 the school was transferred to the State of Wisconsin and it became Stout State College in 1955. It became a Stout State University in 1964. After the merge of the University of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin State Universities, the school became the University of Wisconsin Stout with a mission to offers focused programs in industry, technology, applied art, home economics, and the helping professions. Federal Work Study

The University of Wisconsin Stout participates in the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program. The FWS is available for students who demonstrate a significant financial need.
