Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration

The School of Hotel Administration offers a four-year program that includes eight terms of coursework. The main core classes offer all of the necessary components of a well-developed understanding of hospitality management. Core classes include courses in development and planning, accounting and business finance, food service and restaurant management, tourism, marketing and organizational strategy. In addition, students are required to take 14 elective upper level credits from the School of Hotel Administration.

Students can tailor their experience and understanding of hospitality management by taking courses like Taxation and Management Decisions, Beverage Management, Fundamentals of Database Management, and Catering and Special Events Management. Students may either create a unique cluster of these courses, or may choose a specifically crafted concentration of minor courses. Minors and concentrations available are in Real Estate, Finance and Accounting, Hospitality Leadership, and Services Marketing and Operations Management. For graduation, a student must receive a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA in core classes and a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA in concentration/elective classes. Link

Keuka College

Accelerated Studies for Adults Program

Keuka College offers you the option of having a quality education, without having to compete for access to a professor in a sea of students. The class size averages 14 students per faculty member, providing you with unique opportunities to ask questions, be mentored, and network with professionals who have had first-hand experience in your prospective field. Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management

In this accelerated program, students take accelerated 19 core classes, accumulating 58 credit hours, each class meeting just one night a week for 4 hours at a time. There are also some elective courses available in Lodging Management, Operational Analysis and Controls, Convention Sales and Services, and Food, Hotel and Resort Management. Monroe College

Monroe College is a perfect example of taking something from the bare framework, supporting it, and making it better and stronger. Bachelor (B.B.A.) Degree Program in Hospitality Management

School of Management

New York Institute of Technology – Old Westbury has cornered the essence of professionalism. Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) in Hospitality Management

Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Tourism Management

Several different pathways are open for student exploration – hotel and resort management, tourism bureau management, marketing, and special events management, just to name a few. The program is intensive, with 60 general education credits required, along with 68 professional credits in hospitality and tourism. Students are also required to complete internships that are of 300-600 hours of industry experience with 2-4 different organizations. Each student must also declare a Concentration after completion of 48 credits. These concentrations are 15 credits and include the following options: Event Management, Hotel Development, Marketing and Revenue Management, Organizations and Operations, and Tourism Development. Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management

The Bachelors of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management program holds a firmly resolved focus in teaching students that the key to success is careful planning, coupled with guided and conscientious application. Globalization, analytics, and technological education are all part of the experience that allow a Niagara HRM student to become a well-rounded professional. Niagara was the first college in the U.S. to offer a Tourism degree.

Students can choose a concentration in the Hotel and Restaurant Management path to prepare them for a more fulfilling career, but they can take it to the next level by choosing between two sub-concentrations or Focuses as well. For instance, someone enrolled in the Food and Beverage Management concentration can choose between completing a focus in Entrepreneurship or in a higher level of Food and Beverage Management. Three core coursework directions are available in the following: Luxury Hospitality Operations; Hotel Planning, Development and Operations; and Food and Beverage Management. Each program requires completion of 21 hours of department core classes, 15 hours of Hotel and Restaurant Management, 6 hours from a Concentration, 12 hours of electives, and 9 hours of a Focus.

When these components are combined, they allow for an overall thorough knowledge of the specific focus the student has selected. This broad-spectrum approach allows students to be an asset in any job because they have far-reaching understanding of the whole position and related jobs.

Associates of Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management

SUNY College at Brockport

Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies

State University of New York at Brockport was founded in 1835, is located on a 464-acre campus through beautifully wooded area in the small college town of Brockport, NY.
